Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield evidently have something in common: an appreciation for the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, which premieres tonight. Sheffield shouts out vamp stud Ian Somerhalder in our new issue’s Fall TV Preview, and RS also spotlighted Nina Dobrev in our look at Degrassi’s secret influence on pop culture.
And then today, Hoppus put out a tune-in tweet: “Check out The Vampire Diaries tonight on CW, directed by our friend Marcos Siega, who did the videos for WMAA, ATST, etc.” (That’s “What’s My Age Again” and “All the Small Things”).
