- ABC will feature a Chris Brown interview on 20/20 and Good Morning America timed to the release of his new album, Graffiti. The 20/20 segment will air on December 11th, the AP reports. The New York Post says GMA has changed its plan and will not let Brown perform live. The show came under fire after canceling an appearance by Adam Lambert after his “unpredictable” AMAs performance.
- Blur’s Damon Albarn tells The Guardian (via Twentyfourbit) the next Gorillaz record, Plastic Beach, features cameos by Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed, Barry Gibb, Bobby Womack, Mos Def and the Horrors.
- Blabbermouth reports Ronnie James Dio is suffering from stomach cancer. The singer’s wife confirmed the news on his official site: “We are starting treatment immediately at the Mayo Clinic. After he kills this dragon, Ronnie will be back on stage, where he belongs, doing what he loves best, performing for his fans.”
- Four Aces singer Al Alberts has died at 87 of complications from kidney failure, the BBC reports. Alberts, born Al Albertini, featured prominently on the group’s hits “Love is a Many Splendored Thing” and “Three Coins in the Fountain.”
