- Guns n’ Roses canceled last night’s show in Rio due to a stage collapse caused by heavy rain. Axl Rose reported the news on his Twitter, confirming the accident resulted in minor injuries but no fatalities.
- John Lydon tells Billboard he hopes Public Image Ltd. will emerge from their reunion tour with new tracks. Lydon says he has “piles” of fresh songs, and will likely lay down the LP in the States.
- Starting today, fans can bid on handmade goodies in the Crafts for a Cause auction, with all proceeds benefitting Haiti Relief. As Rolling Stone reported, No Doubt, Vampire Weekend, the Strokes, Kings of Leon and many more artists donated to the effort.
- Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke has scheduled his first solo shows. The BBC reports the frontman will perform as “Kele” at Ibiza Rocks on August 31st.
