Today, January 4th, 2010, marks the 50th birthday of R.E.M. frontman and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Michael Stipe. The singer may not look a day over 37, but on this date in 1960 in Decatur, Georgia, the man who brought the music world Murmur, Monster and “Man on the Moon” was born.
