When The Blueprint 3 leaked a week ago, Jay-Z stayed calm and simply told fans to sit back and “enjoy” his latest masterpiece. But the unexpected early release did have some affect on Jay, and he has pushed up the release of his new album to today. BP3 was originally scheduled to be unleashed on September 11th, the eighth anniversary of the release of the original Blueprint. By shifting the album from its unorthodox Friday release to a normal Tuesday release, the move also all but ensures Jay-Z the Number One spot on next week’s Top 200.

Jay-Z also announced a new tour to coincide with his new album. Under his current schedule, Jigga kicks things off tonight, September 8th with a concert at Chicago’s House of Blues, then he’ll perform at his Answer the Call benefit concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden on September 11th. From there, Jay-Z flies to Manchester for a U.K. show with Coldplay on September 12th, then flies back to NY for the VMAs at Radio City Music Hall on September 13th, to Los Angeles for the Jay Leno Show premiere on September 14th and finally back to the United Kingdom on September 16th for four more shows, three with Coldplay. That’s a lot of frequent flyer miles.

Jay-Z’s fall tour officially kicks off October 9th at Penn State University. The Blueprint 3 tour visits a couple of college campus arenas along with more conventional stops and eight shows north of the border. So far, 21 shows have been announced, but a press release hints that more concerts will be announced soon. Citi, Fan Club and a handful of other presales are going on now over at Live Nation, with the public onsale date on September 11th. The tour as it stands is below:
