- Robin Gibb tells the BBC the Bee Gees will reunite for live shows in the near future. Gibb says he and Barry have “got through the breakwater of emotions” after the 2003 death of their bandmate and brother Maurice.
- John Lydon is bringing back his post-Pistols band Public Image Ltd. for a series of pre-Christmas shows, the Guardian reports. The band now consists of guitarist Lu Edmonds, drummer Bruce Smith and multi-instrumentalist Scott Firth.
- Reggae producer Wycliffe “Steely” Johnson died of a heart attack following a bout of pneumonia at age 47, the New York Times reports. Johnson played keyboards with Bob Marley, became a celebrated session player and went on to embrace digital sounds as part of duo Steely & Clevie.
