  • Bonnaroo has teamed with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and HeadCount to release a free “Best of Bonnaroo” download compilation that comes with a message asking fans to contact their senators about climate change. Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Jack Johnson, Wilco, and more bands contributed live tracks from the festival to the 17-song album.

  • The Roots’ third annual Philly picnic will take place June 5th this year and feature Vampire Weekend, Nneka, Clipse and more. ?uestlove announced the lineup in a video and hinted the crew will top last year’s Public Enemy performance with “a reunion we thought we would never get” by donning a thick gold chain and a black fedora and adding, “This should say it all.” Sounds like Run-DMC to us.   • Hall & Oates’ longtime bassist Tom “T-Bone” Wolk died Saturday of an apparent heart attack. Wolk played on Kurtis Blow’s “These Are the Breaks” and with the Saturday Night Live house band from 1986 to 1992. “T-Bone was my musical brother and losing him is like losing my right hand,” Daryl Hall said in a statement.
  • Memorabilia from Michael Jackson (including onstage outfits), U2 (Bono’s rosary), the Beatles and Bob Dylan are hitting the block for the Gotta Have Rock & Roll auction.
